These two guys deserve a good pat on the back! Hitting a biker should be a right.

oh, thank you for that. :)

So wearing ' biker clothing ' should be an open invitation
to be assaulted ?

Hows about getting extra bonus points for shooting cops between the eyes,
and just regular points for shooting them in the balls ?

Now that I have your attention....

this is just more media

BS being shoveled around for absolutely no good reason,

Oh look its the big bad bikers, oh no, run away

But its the RCMP who are going to wind up looking bad.. again.

Come on Martin! I was fishing for fun and I caught you!

I was expecting another fish to come along......I forgot you are no fan of the boys and girls in blue!

easy there big guy, its ok to be a biker, biking is a great past time, wearing criminal gang regalia, such as that worn by the HA should be an open invitation to get a bat across the face.

it's you legitimate bikers who should be most pissed at these criminal scum bags ruining the good biker name.

:D :D

Well done Yogi !

I'm sure EB was referring to a specific group, my principal
objection to this article was the fearsome ' biker clothing '..

such a load of .. what was it.. a total shower of shite. ;)

Then I should be 'safe' since my leatrhers are brown, therefore, not 'fearsome'!

any good.

Would I be safe in assuming that by 'biker' you are referring to 'member of clearly marked criminal organization', rather than just anyone who happens to ride a scooter?

Just the idiots who advertise that they are crooks!

Personally I think rapists should wear leather jackets with "rapist angel" or something similar on the rear.

Maybe we could produce a natty line of jackets for pedophiles with the rocker "Kiddy Diddler" on their backs.

Maybe we could get a special halal line of cool jihadi crushed velvet blazers with " Suicide Bomber- prospect" across the shoulder blades?

My Canadian born colleagues get very excited about outlaw bikers wearing their ‘colours’, personally I think it’s great that criminals advertise the fact that they are criminals so openly.
Takes the fun out of tracking them down but it does make for better evidence!

Then you don't make it in the biker wanna be sweepstakes. Regular motorcyclists need to find a term other than biker. I use the latter to refer to HAs etc, as do many people. But I wonder if a lot of regular motorcyclists kinda like a bit of that bad boy image rubbing off on them?

I overheard a conversation between two HD riders in a cafe in Colorado (no helmet laws). Not biker wannabes in any sense. But wearing the leathers, talking about how crazy you'd have to be to not wear leathers, get that road rash if you go down. OTOH, helmets, well those were for pussies. Great logic. Seems to make wearing the leathers more about image than function. But then loud pipers make you safer too, right?

Now that was funny. :)

specially cause he'll never get his full patch !! ROTFL

Funny you should mention the camera, was talking
to a lady about that yesterday, she told me she has a DSLR,
and offered to lend it to me on my 'trips'.

Next, I just have to sweet talk her out of it altogether.. :D

I guess eh! At 5 ft f/a,120 lb, I'm definitely the pic of a 'fearsome biker'!

When I'm out riding, I wear a brain-bucket and leathers for the intended reasons. Actually, I haven't ridden much over the last several years, and am only recently contemplating buying another bike. But dmn, if I fall outta my boat, I'd only get wet, and I can swim, But if I fall offa my bike...well, I did that years ago. The 'flight' was quite remarkable actually, but the landing was a bitch!

I feel ya, my doctor said when I had mine that bikers make the best x-rays. :)

Actually in Quebec they have it pretty sorted.

The 'bad boys' are motards, everyone else is a biker.

As usual, in France, its exactly the opposite...

je ne suis pas un motard, je suis un biker.....

Who was right or wrong aside, you gotta know the head of the RCMP must just dread coming into work these days. Lots of wanting to bang his head against the desk.

I know the media is on a lynch the RCMP in BC kick so one sees these stories more. Obviously the officers are not working in BC according to the story, but sadly all many in the pubic are going to see in this story is BC, RCMP, Wrongdoing, and say "oh, another one!"

The problem as I see it is that the RCMP was in such a rush to hire more recruits that standards were "relaxed" and now they are reaping the 'benefits".

The RCMP rank and file is their own worst enemy these days.
