I find it hard to believe that he could bite through a glove. More likely that he hit Ruutu's teeth with his head and he felt it all the way through.

Doesn’t anyone wear hockey gloves anymore? There’s a second thumb in glove and has been for years which offers no protection at all. It’s only the thickness of thin leather or thin fabric on both sides and would be very easy to hurt someone by biting on it.
