I'd only find it offensive if the dudes worse it to an actual demonstration or in Mexico... This didn't happen in Mexico or at any Mexican rallies. You're American now so get used to seeing that flag or move back to Mexico.

As an opener let me say, many years ago. Over 50 years, I meant a young man from South Carolina.
His title was Chief, and don't forget that you @xx@5@!!!!
He could offend a concrete block. He wasn't much over 5'6" tall.
But, he appeared to 90 of us as a giant.
As he explained we belonged to him. To, do with as he pleased.
It was said with a bit more meaning as he told us.

Now I don't care what your race, creed, colour or country of orgin is. If you don't learn in this life to take things as they come and not let things offend you?

Celebrating your heritage, whether it be Mexican, European, or whatever, is fine. It just becomes a problem when your celebration infringes on the rights of others to their own freedom of expression.
