If these knobs want a vegan pet, why don't they just get bunnies, instead of owning carnivorous predators?

That's what a reasonable person would do, but since when have those nuts over at PETA ever been reasonable?

A reasonable person doesn't have food for a pet. Rabbits, pigs and such were all meant to be main courses, not companions. Carnivorous pack animals are the only true animal companions one can have...cats are just lazy opportunists.

You've never seen a mountian lion hunting wolves. ;) But yes, rabbits and pigs are really good after 8 -12 hours on a smoker.

Where's PETA for the vegetables that lose their lives every day? Veggies are people too.

Such hypocrits....

Shouldn't the SPCA be investigating them for animal cruelty. I doubt these cats are doing well on a vegan diet. Or, as Herbie points out, they're just supplementing it with food they catch themselves.

Riiiiiiiight, the only people I know who are veggies are old, burnt out druggies who totally fried their brains many, many years ago and have no one to blame for it aside from themselves, so they have no need for a support group. On the other hand, if you are honestly trying to equate vegetables and sentient live then you are too far gone for me to even try to understand.

herbie herbie:
My cat picks all the round dark brown munchies out of his Whiskas. When he sees the bowl, no matter how full it is, has only those he raises a shit-storm. Must be the tofu ones.
That's in winter. The rest of the time he's so full of birds, mice, moles, snakes, etc. he might chew one or two crunchies just to remind us to keep his bowl full....
Unfortunately for me my daughter is a vegan PETA nut. Can't convince her they don't torture the milk out of dairy cows. PETA says otherwise.

The life of a dairy cow is pretty bad. Of course, they live in a virtual paradise compared to battery chickens. Worst of all would probably be a rhesus monkey, basically bred to torture. I support groups that fight for better lives for these animals. Still love a good steak though!

The thing that PETA doesn't get is that you can support a decent life for animals, and still support eating them. We've got a lot of conservation land in BC, lot of it privately owns. And it ain't PRTA that bought it. It's American bird hunters. Most hunters I know are conservationists.

I know! Broccoli is a tree! They have feelings too! That we can't hear it, doesn't mean they don't cry and scream when they get boiled or cut!

It's just that PETV is so hard to pronounce...

The wheelchair.

Tell me she at least pays for her own groceries...

I will actually buy stuff for her that I think she doesn't eat. They get so brainwashed they forget they grew up loving peanut butter and it isn't made from butter. That a peach or nectarine is better for you than a tasteless chunk of fucking tofu.

Get this: we take her and her friend to lunch and they bitch there's nothing vegan on the menu. My old lady says order something and tell them hold the meat. Both of them sat slack-jawed, they didn't even know you can do that. And WTF happens when they do? The waitress is vegan and starts telling them - ya well I'll sub this for that too because those buns have 2-4-methly-blah-blah and the others are organic...
...wanted to shout Just STFU and bring me my steak - extra bloody!

Well, you are welcome to serve her whatever you want. It's up to her to support her own habits. That's the way I was raised, and it worked. Fuck the food guide, I usually put down 6-8 servings of meat per day.

I tried a vegan diet but there's hardly any meat on 'em and what there is, is dry and stringy. I dunno how anyone can subsist on that shit. Image
