DrCaleb DrCaleb: [
LOL, what fun would it be if I were impartial? I try to look at all sides of an argument, but I have my own opinions.
That sounds like impartiality to me. Bias is when someone like OTI consistently comes out with CPC talking points and nothing else. I don't think impartiality is having no opinion, that's just being out of it. Impartiality is when you evaluate a position not because it comes from a certain side, but on it's merits based on some sort of logical evaluation. Of course underlying biases are still at play there, you wouldn't be able to get out of bed if you didn't have those. So, in political discussions, there are biases worth mentioning, like OTI's, ie CPC always good, and ones that aren't, like yours or mine.

I used to have a t-shirt that read: "Go away or I will replace you with a very small shell script.", which fits in nicely.

andyt andyt: DrCaleb DrCaleb: Because the Government are the ones being asked the questions, they don't get to ask them during 'Question Period', only the Opposition parties do. That's kind of the definition. I did not say only the Government was taunting. And, you do know the difference between the CPC and the Government, right? Throughout the remainder of Question Period, Members of officially recognized parties ask questions in rotation based upon party representation in the House. Members of the governing party may occasionally pose a question to one of their own. Okay andyt says something here that makes me wonder. If only "officially recognized parties can ask questions". What parties are not officially recognized and how do they have someone sitting in parliament if they are not part officially recognized party?

What parties are not officially recognized and how do they have someone sitting in parliament if they are not part officially recognized party? In order to be 'officially recognized' they have to either get a certain percentage of the popular vote country wide, or have a certain number of members elected. I forget which it is, as I think it's changed since the Reform Party days. But, a sitting member can also quit a party and sit as an independent or run as an independent and get elected, or form their own party*. It doesn't mean they will get any special house privileges though. Usually if an Indy wants house time, a member of another party will give their time to the Indy. *this happened to a member of the Reform/Alliance party, Chuck Cadman. He ran as an Independent, and won. Because there was a narrow minority government, he actually held a deciding vote in the house that he could use to support or defeat the government!

The better known example is the wailing cow of the Island, Elizabeth May. Although she takes up enough room for 10 seats, the Green Party have only the one, and don't have official Party status. Thank God for small miracles.

Their support is still growing, apparently. Shows how good the choices are, these days.
I'm married to a Greenie.
We don't talk politics.

Thanks, it seems odd that a independent and or other none majority can not ask questions but that's the rules it works under that's the rules you have to play by.

And bullshit and retardation comes from geriatric fool like you that trolls the Internet, repeating the same crap in the hopes to be seen as clever or smart. You're neither. No matter how many times you spew the same crap, it doesn't make it true.
