But yes, these days, at least here in BC, they seem more enthused about getting boys to wear pink shirts than they do about teaching math. Simply put, you have to take responsibility for your own child's education. The public school system, more and more, is becoming merely a tool for normalizing children to turn them into productive citizens (aka sheep) than the teaching of reading, writing and arithmetic. That's why punctuality, attendance, silence and scrupulously following instructions are more important than grades.
