I shot in a bunch of local IPSC matches back in the late 70's, and have the trophys to prove it.... Was disappointed with the bigger, provincial matches as everyone seemed to need to win every course they shot, arguments everywhere over procedures, the match rules or even a single point, kind of took a lot of the fun out of the matches. As for the targets shooting back, I was hit dead centre in the chest by a 240 gn. .45 cal soft lead slug that ricocheted back from a steel target set on the 50 yard line......
