Ban everything 'cos it offends someone.

Naw, let people be offended. Too damn many snowflakes around these days who get offended by every little thing but then they turn around and call people "Nazis" and "racists" for things that have FA to do with Naziism and racism.

At Easter, I posted what I thought was a funny Jesus Meme. One of my friends took offence. Said some angry words and I literally responded with "you have the right to be offended, and I have the right to offend". He shut up after that.

Yeah, can't even climb a ladder and say "I can see your house from up here" without offending my evangelical sister...

I wouldn't buy it. Wouldn't buy anything with a swastika on it either.

You sure about that? I ask because an awful lot of companies use swastikas in their logos.

Chase Bank, Columbia sportswear, Sun Microsystems, etc. all use stylized swastikas as their corporate logos.

Look around when you're out and about and you'll see lots of local businesses with stylized swastikas in their logos.

Also, swastikas are a recurring theme in brick paving. Look down and you'll find you walk on them all the time.

See now you're splitting hairs. No one would put a Nazi flag on a product and expect it to be legal because it is an indelible symbol of hate. But the original swastika isn't, it means all sorts of great things from well being to good luck. So use the sanskrit version all you want. Stylize it and rehabilitate it. But a Nazi flag isn't the same as a swastika.
