Come to Saskatoon. There are more Donair (sp?) shops in the city than there are Muslims. I don't know if all are owned by Muslims but they are about the only place here one can get mutton. At least I suspect it's mutton!

I like turkey in a sandwich. I don't eat pork. I don't eat mammals, just poultry and fish.

Head to Texas. It's an act war and crime to ban any meat products there and I'm serious. When I lived in San Antonio the Muslims had there own shops and food place's. So they didn't mind Subway serving Pork, plus Pork, Bacon is a very major economic value in the Dallas-fort worth statistical zone. Even the Hindi's in Texas don't mind place's serving beef as they have there own place's, some of them very tasty . From my experience in Texas there the real US Food and Int. Melting Pot.

Well if it came from California or Mexico yep your dead on. Atm in NV all place's are pulling Ag Products from CA and MX. There is serious outbreak of salmonella and Noro-Virus in the Northern Part and also in Sin City. Although Sin City wont kiss and tell as it would effect the fat cat wallets state wide.

Muslims won't push the issue in Texas because Texans would push back, and not in a pleasant way either. They will push the issue in Britain though because there's a long tradition now of the British, especially their rotten politicians and local councils, of caving in to Muslims in any manner possible. If the British were more than willing to look the other way over the pimp gangs in Rotherham that raped around 1400 girls then they're not going to make serving bacon or ham in a Subway the item over which they finally stand up to this bullshit. The norm is to ask the restaurant to ADD what you eat to their menus here, not take away other people's food. There's been Pakistanis, Afghans, Persians here as long as I remember, plus vegetarians and vegans. That's what they did.
Off course, here in Canada how many of you are pissed at "Press 1 for English". Inconvenience the majority rather than the minority does seem to be the default process.

I had no trouble getting ham in Israel. Mind you it was a little bit more of a challenge to get a cheese burger. Had to get that from Arab joints.

So are you saying Mohammedans eat almost three times as many subway sandwiches as their demographic would indicate they should be eating? If I was Subway and I saw that, I'd be saying, "Damn, let's not change anything. We must be doing something right."

Why can't the franchise just serve what it wants. Dominos UK serves only Halal meats. They just don't certify.

Why does Subway need the Halal certification? In the article the Subway rep says:

I believe you're saying it's because you think Campbells soup is more interested in it's 4% Muslims than it's 96% non-believers. Is that not what you're saying?

I say what makes more sense is the explanation that Halal certifiers are able to pressure some outlets to purchase their certificate.

Apparently McDonald's and Burger King have yet to bow to certifier pressure. Either that or they'r bad businessmen and have yet to see the megabucks in selling Halal that the more prescient and it would seem business-savvy Subway Sandwiches franchise has seen.

Eh you guys dont get nearly as pissed as we Yanks do with the Press 1 game and language. The vegetarians and vegans loons and trouble are over by Bart in CA lol. Also it should be noted in the US many phones have died painfully from that press 1 crap and many on the other side when ya get a real person loose there hearing young .
