Bring back colonial rule.
Europe couldn't even hold on to Africa for more than 50 years. Africans aren't native Americans. When it comes to putting their differences aside to unite and slaughter foreign armies, they'll do it (mau mau rebellion, south Africa uprising, rhodesia uprising, etc etc). When the colonials have been thrown out it's back to the daily routine of tribalism. Africans are best left alone.
They invaded to make money. They left when they were not making enough.
The colonists didn't want to leave. Algeria fought a war of independence, so did Mozambique, Angola, and many others threatened to follow suit. Even Winston Churchill was a staunch colonialist.

800 British paratroopers took Sierra Leone in a few days in 1999. The ex colonial powers could easily take Africa again, but why? What really is the point? Leave them to get on with killing each other.
The British were not alone. They had help from Nigeria who sent in a sizable contingent as well as local support from Sierra Leonians who were against Charles Taylor (i.e, the majority of people). To praise it all on the British is like praising the whole victory of the Napoleonic wars on the Duke of Wellington.
Taking over is one thing, (Iraq War, Afghanistan), holding on to it is entirely another as we now know. Bringing enemy armies down is the easy part. Chasing guerrilla uprisings in the jungle is another.
Any foreign power would suffer horrendous casualties in attempts to take over a continent where life isn't valued highly. International weapons dealers will have a field day akin to that of South Africa in the 80s and Kenya in the 50s.
