There would be a huge impact on our economy if Québec separated. Which it won't because they will never win a referendum. The majority of Québecers want to move on from this issue. Perhaps we should resist giving the bloc members their government pensions when they are defeated in the next election?

LCN does not seem to give this much consideration but not a real surprise since they are always out to protect the Bloc's image. On a side note and still interesting, cyberpresse.ca is reporting that Duceppe could have some investments in some oil sand company, something totally against the Bloc's politics.

Disgusting as Rat-man Ducepption and his Bloc/PQ is, people blow the Nazi/WWII analogies way too much. They should slam the Bloc for being worthless in Canadian society and costing Canadians and loyal Quebecers tax-money.

Duceppe has already sold me. Where do I sign to give him and his merry band of mental midgets their own "country"?

I hope you're not serious...

I am, if he gave the rest of us(outside Quebec) the vote. He'd get my vote.

Apparently he's going on a tour across Canada to the sell the idea of a independent Quebec, its a waste of time since the only people he really has to convince are the people who cast the vote, the people of Quebec.

Save the money gilles, and get some History lessons on the liberation of France during WWII.

I'm dead serious. What? You think they're just going to get the entire province of Quebec as their own? I think the rest of the Quebecers that have a brain would have something to say about that, nevermind the East Coast or the feds.
The sooner we can get the whining idiots OUT of OUR country and into their own little piece of land, the sooner the rest of Quebec and Canada can start getting on with business. Then we can watch the new country wither and die on the vine and have a good laugh when they beg to be let back in 8)

This could only be a theory, but it is being said that Duceppe could actually be creating controversy on purpose since they have been lacking public attention as of late.

This in turn is good for their cause, the Bloc being a sovereignist party, incite the nationalistic debate in the province. For there is no relevance for the Bloc as a political party if there is no antagonism vs the ROC.

Absolutely... they know its a dead issue so they are stiring the pot.. They know also that their days are numbered. This is when the federalists need to step up and get vocal.

The thing is they know they are, the Bloc is going to milk this gravy train for all it's worth. They've made a fine career out of it after all and a nice pension to follow. Thank you Canada.
