not so... he should resign.. he has shown he is a bigot... harper.. to get elected. Privately, Tories bristled at opposition charges that Harper is condoning bigotry. They pointed out that Harper booted Lukiwski's predecessor, Larry Spencer, from the Conservative caucus after he said homosexuality should be outlawed and Lukiwski should be thrown out as well... not the kind of guy you want in parliament .... what other bias does he harbour?

Not to mention it was at a party and they had all ready had a few drinks. If destroying peoples carriers over silly comments made over 16 years ago at a non function party after a couple of drinks is the standard Liberals want to set they had better watch out because this will for sure come back and bite them in the ass. I feel the Libs are over politicizing this issue and for once I really have really gained a lot of respect for the NDP and how they are currently dealing with this issue. Rather than trying to gain a few quick political brownie points by demanding a resignation they are coming forward with suggestions of sensitivity training and other means to resolve the issue in a constructive way so that some good comes from all of this. In fact they even came forward the other day and distanced themselves from the Liberals demand for Lukiwski's resignation. I think it speaks volumes that the NDP as of late has more or less out performed the Liberal party and it is a pretty sad commentary on what the Liberal party has been reduced to as of late.
