Absolute record cold? Oh, that's just an isolated weather event.
Meanwhile the not-quite record heat in Australia was presented as absolute and undeniable proof of global warming.
Bullshit as usual.
Interesting comment. Are you saying that there is no evidence of global warming?
For the record, I've long maintained that we are at the end of an ice age and that warming is to be expected and should be welcomed at the end of an ice age.
Glaciers typically melt when the climate shifts from cold to warm as it has over the past ~18,000 years.
Sea level rose about 130 meters over the past ~18,000 years and that had nothing at all to do with man made carbon emissions.
Meaning that it's a stretch to attribute human activity as the sole cause of a warming cycle that started long before the advent of industrial civilization.
Maybe we're contributing to a natural cycle that's already in progress. Maybe we're even holding off the reversal of a cold cycle with our activity.
If the latter then I could see my way to help bring back an ice age because then it would cover most of Canada in a 3km thick ice sheet.
So celebrate that cold weather you're having right now because maybe, just maybe, the weather you see today will someday soon be the typical weather for July in Toronto.
