[Psst! Remember that Trans Canada pipeline that's heading further East? It can connect with all sorts of North-South pipelines already built along the Eastern Seaboard. There's the export route! It's almost complete, too!]

It's the Republican's fault. If the Republicans didn't have a chance at taking back the Senate this November, we'd have a decision by now.

Oh, the Left is against it, as well. As I said, don't sweat it. there are other routes. It's just that keystone is the most efficient. Where do people down there think that "energy self-sufficiency" comes from, anyway? fracking in Pennsylvania?

He probably has to consider many factors like ranchers grazing rights vs. development. I say just plow over these ranchers, it's federal land after all.

So, I am going to assume that this will be opposed by all the conservatives on the issue ? Or does this only work for freeloaders with armed militias?

Montana farmers, ranchers continue fight against Keystone XL pipeline

"I don't believe my land should be taken and my rights infringed for somebody else's gain," Garoutte says. "But, you know, they can outspend us a zillion to one. We are ranchers and farmers, we work for a living, we neither have time nor an excess of money."

Obama playing politics. He has to tread lightly or the democrats won't get any more donations from big oil or his railroad owning buddy.

Just a matter of time so Obumer can quit being stupid.

"As it stands, TransCanada has settled with landowners in five of six U.S. states through which the pipeline is supposed to pass, as well as with more than two-thirds of the affected landowners in Nebraska."

Right, so I think we can all agree that the best course of action here if the pipeline goes through, is for the ranchers to band together, form militias and stand up to the big bad government. That's the consensus right?
