ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog: are those bakers who belong to a motorcycle club, or bikers who have a penchant for creating a chocolate gateau with a a nice ganache? No just simple grass smokers and alcoholics.

Insurgents have taken over another town in East Ukraine. As I understand the Ukrainian strategy, it's to lie low until elections. Let the insurgents take over whatever they want. When people hold a peaceful pro-Ukraine demonstration, have the riot police run away, so that insurgent goons can attack the demonstration with baseball bats. None of this will have any effect of intimidating pro-Ukraine voters, there will be a nice peaceful election and then the insurgents will be taken prisoner while Putin says "foiled again." Brilliant.
If 70% of people in the East favor Ukraine over Russia, there is scant evidence for this. Where are the pro-Ukrainian protesters as there were in Kiev?

You won't fight for your country, but want me to? That will work out well. Face it, Ukraine seems to be fucked. Totally impotent to stop Russia, with no evidence of even a popular will to try. Russia will probably let you keep the western part, as long as you don't cosy up to Europe. And if you try to cosy up to Europe, it may turn out they're not feeling the love either, would rather make deals with Russia, where the money is.

Well their strategy is working well - more or less peaceful takeovers by the insurgents instead. No blood. No Ukraine soon, either.

I want you to show me how to fight, because you say that we are doing very bad. Teach me. Show me the way what I must do.

It's pretty simple really. If you're a soldier and people fire their guns at you, you fire back. You know, you use those long pointy things that you carry around for their intended purpose. If you're not going to do that, why not just go home instead of letting yourself be shot?

I know something about campaigning. Doing nothing shows weakness. Voters tend to vote for a winner. Ukraine is walking an extremely fine line. If they let Russian led insurgents do whatever, then voters will tend to vote for them. Of course Russia can't go too far; if they're seen by Ukrainian voters as a threat, then they'll vote against Russia. Ukrainian forces have to re-capture government buildings, but they can't massacre people while doing so. Any massacre would be a pretext for Russian military to invade. And a massacre would drastically lose votes. This is political campaigning, third world tin-pot dictator style.

They don't have enought weapons to fight with, our army has no enought equipment. We will be rolled down in 3 weeks of war. Russia has nuclear wepons, we don't.
