Oh don't worry, those amendments are already well stomped on.

Actualy the 1st admendment has grown stronger and stronger over the years with court ruleings. The 4th has actualy taken a hit with Obama Care, in the next few years we will see of it goes to court over the right to inspect a persons home looking for people not insured without a warrent.

CanadianJeff CanadianJeff:
How about closing the damn gun show loophole already?
Am I off my rocker is that one still a huge gaping hole?

You are off your rocker or maybe more accurately you have listened to some of the media and trusted them not to lie to you.

Every dealer at a gun show must do a background check.

Private citizens are free to sell guns without a background check. (like in Canada)

The loophole everyone talks about is the part were a non dealer can sell his property to someone else without having to do a background check. In the past the gunshow was a place to meet up with people to buy, sell or trade firearms with other people. The internet has made that sort of redundant.

Now some people do use gun shows to sell firearms. But under current law you can't get a federal firearms license (firearms seller basicly) if you only work at gun shows. And only FFL holder can use the National Instant Criminal Background Check System.

The loophole isn't a loophole, and the system is currently made to keep people from becoming FFLs because the administration is trying to make it as hard as possible to legaly get a firearm, and fewer dealers means it's harder to do business.
~
Which all has nothing to do with gun violence/crime in the USA. The vast majority of firearms used in crimes are not legaly owned, and are not used by the people that tend to go to gun shows. As it was said in the linked report the government is spending time going after law abiding citizens rather than criminals, again. Likely because it's easier to get people that follow laws to follow more laws.

I guess Berry is too much of a chicken to come foward and say white people are not the cause of our gun crime, it's young black men. And then try and do something about it.

The first has only grown stronger for racists.

Everyone else gets every word of theirs scrutinized and logged into databases to be picked through when convenient.

Which, I must say, is very comforting.

Freedom of speech and the right to be silent have both been manipulated to trap all of us.

Don't worry man, I save a screen shot of this post so it won't be lost forever when the NSA realizes it's not racist and censors it.

As far as my comments about racists: Only racists are mired in the court process to "strengthen the 1s amendment" so they can safely peddle their genocide and segregation literature to teenagers without repercussion... So they win the right to hate, what's that do for those who get catologued for wanting peace and equality? Sweet fuck all.

Censoring people by calling them 'racist' negates freedom of speech, n'est pas?

If that's all it takes to censor someone then what happens when YOU get called a racist? Hmmm?

At almost any point in history the people who are fighting hardest for free speech tend to be the biggest assholes around. The people who say objectionable things are the ones who need the protection.

Despite your delusions of grandeur the state is not threatened by you and those like you spouting off about equality or facism or whatever it is you guys are into. There's no need to censor you because no one is listening anyways. The world has seen what communism leads to and has wisely decided that, vicious as it can be, capitalism is a million time better.
