Don't you think it would better to do an investigation first, to remove all doubt either way? Because once he's on the court, it's nigh impossible to remove him should the allegations prove true.

That's what the Democrats would have you think but, when you commit perjury during a Supreme Court Hearing you've just committed a crime and can be impeached one hell of alot easier than a President.

Remove doubt all the way? Can't say I have seen that ever actually happen in a sexual assault case.

A case to which the total sum of evidence is his recollection versus her recollection...no, if anything, a full investigation will embolden the accuser's supporters, regardless of what the final determination is.

The GOP kept a SCOTUS seat open for a year so Obama couldn't get another judge on the court. A person who, by the way, had no skeletons in his beer filled closet and was about as white bread as they come. What's another week or two? If it's all BS then the truth will set Kavanaugh free? No?

Isn't it more likely that the GOP knew about all of this in advance? That's why they haven't pulled the nomination when any other sane person would have. This is the one guy Trump believes in to have his back on the SCOTUS when Muller comes knocking at the White House door.

That's why they're rushing this whole farcical process. The vote to move Kavanaugh out of committee is tomorrow if I read correctly. They know he's dirty and they want to get him on the bench before its too late.

Feinstein had the allegations since July. If she wanted an FBI investigation that would have been the time to ask. Instead she sat on the matter until it was time to delay the confirmation hearing. Now they want to delay with an FBI investigation.

One of the Republicans at the hearings said the FBI were consulted and said something to the effect of they wouldn't bother, there was nothing to investigate.

Calls for an FBI investigation by the Democrats now are nothing more than another delaying tactic.

Anybody listening to that hearing today, who isn't too far gone down the 'progressive' rabbit-hole has to think the Democrats should feel embarrassed for their shameful contribution to the process.

The allegations once uttered will now and forever be repeated as if they were true.

This despite the fact that none of the people named by Ford substantiate what she said and the fact that Kavanaugh's own detailed records show he was out of town or engaged whenever these parties were supposed to be taking place.

It won't matter. The damage is done.

And the next judge who comes up for nomination is going to be shoved through with barely a hearing. That will be the price meted out for this travesty.

I have never seen Lindsey Graham that angry.

As he said, many of the Democrats in Congress have been his friends. I suspect that is no longer the case and I imagine the Democrats will regret having lost Graham's support for future issues of theirs.

Watching the video you could see him struggle to say 'sham' instead of 'shit'. That's unheard of for this man.

In defiance of all precedent and decorum. And no, the Dems wouldn't that. The sitting president gets the judges he or she wants and that's how it goes.
