Building on the successful model of the National Trust in the United Kingdom, Budget 2007 provides $5 million over two years for the establishment of a new entity, Canada's National Trust. The Trust will be able to receive donations and contributions to ensure its long-term sustainability. It will be managed and directed by private-sector individuals, and will be at arm's length from the Government.

Parks Canada ensures the protection of Canada's historic resources and makes sure that they are presented in a sustainable fashion. This dual objective goes hand in hand with the Agency's goal to increase the public's awareness and appreciation of national historic sites of Canada and to further engage Canadians in the protection and presentation of these sites for the benefit of future generations.

From the article: "Building on the successful model of the National Trust in

Arms length from the government. This government has arms as long as an
arm-amputee.

Because Harper is who he is (megalamaniac), often like a serial murderer,
they have to keep evidence of the "power" they had when they commit their
crimes. Harpers crime? The destruction of the country called
"Canada".
