Anyone else watching this? I saw e.1 & 2 last night and I'm not sure what to think. A friend of mine was there (he does internal med) in '09 and '10, and he doesn't really like it for a bunch of reasons. He's heading back to Afghanistan in November, but this time it's Kabul.

I've been watching it myself, but won't lose any sleep over it if I miss an episode. It's entertaining, but as C_M says, too unrealistic, which can be said about nearly everything on the tube today. It is nice to see the Canadian background to the series so I'll keep watching it.

I diddn't really like the show, was very dull for a military combat hospital in the middle of a warzone. Seemed as said above also too unrealistic. I only watched it because it had Canadian troops but I'm starting to think even that isn't going to be enough to make me continue to watch this show. Though they could always pull a Stargate: Universe type deal.

You'd have had to watch that show from episode one to get what I am saying. They started it with pure annoying characters, everybody was constantly whining. Nothing interesting ever happened. You just wanted to punch every single character on the show everytime you watched it. Went on for nearly 2 seasons unti'll they finally refined it into what it currently is now which is what fans of the series came to expect when they began watching it. You no longer wanted to punch the characters, they were finally something that meshed and wasn't annoying but more interesting now. The plot was a ton more interesting and shit actually happened. They involved more aliens, more science, and a lot of fighting. If you asked me about that show when I first watched it, I wouldn't care if it was canceled. I'd even sign a petition to get it canceled it was so bad and annoying but now if you ask me. I'd sign a petition to get it stayed on. Point being, don't judge a show based on it's first appearance. They still got a chance to bounce back and you just may like there changes.

I have been there for 4 deployments and I must say I like to watch the show just to pick apart to flaws. Seriously though, I saw very few snakes and shooting one in the OR was , well, incredibly unrealistic. I like the way they "try" to imitate the board walk. There are so many things wrong that I am addicted to watching the show just so I can critique it. Drives my wife absolutely mad, so its worth watching just for that alone, lol.

I hate Medical/Police/Lawyer(who watches this shit, really?) dramas. Just have seen too many over the years and don't care anymore. After seeing the mindnumbing cliches in the 20 second ad for CH, I won't be watching it even if I did like Medical dramas.

When I was younger I'd have probably watched this out of Patriotic duty, if nothing else. However, not anymore. We have made shows better than this crap, shows worth watching.
