The 'Spartacus' Season 1 finale was fantastic.

Having seen some of it, I can honestly say that this is one of the worst TV shows (cable or otherwise) that I've ever seen. All it is is a pure crap mixing of the violence from "Gladiator" and "300" with braindead softcore porno. Zero substance on any level and a total disgrace to the memory of the Kirk Douglas movie.

It's not that bad, though a lot of the dialogue bugs the hell out of me. Especially, Ashur's. I'm actually kind of envious of Batiatus; the dude's got his own fluffer.

Yeah, like the idea of a fluffer.

Rome's perversions, and the United States today almost mirror each other.

I can understand the proper or prudish type may despise or dislike Blood and Sand, they will return the the reality TV shows like Big Brother.

Hardly. The US is still very Puritanical, not at all like ancient Rome. And you've never seen the Euro versions of Big Brother. they're much more interesting to watch.

OMG that sucks!! For him and me, i loved the show :(

Interesting the article doesn't say the show is cancled though... Kinda hard without the main character, would be weird to switch actors like that.

I love that brunette chick that is the wife of Spartacus [drool] . I have to admit, the shows okay but it feels like a rated R "Xena and Hercules".

It's a shame HBO's Rome was cut off at 2 seasons, theres a series that has tonnes of action on one hand but can move you to complete silence on the other.
