I played the game back when it was on Atari's Jaguar 64-Bit system and it scared the crap outta me then, I'd love to give it a try this time around for my PS3.

This game is AWESOME. I'm glad I waiting till finishing Bioshock 2 before buying this because I can't out it down. There is a vast improvement in the xenomorphs look and movement. In AvP2 they simply ran at you and then stood in front of you clawing at you like a pissed off cat. In this games their movements are very fluid and serpentine. The glide along the walls, retreat to cover when they can and are damn hard to hit.

It kinda sucks that you can only carry 2 weapons though (plus the default pistol). You don't know what weapon will be better in the next little bit and its very easy to run out of ammo very very quickly in this game. That is probably why you have unlimited ammo for the pistol.

Flame thrower has been seriously down graded since Avp 2 and has gone back to being like it was in Avp. In AvP2 the flame thrower was the weapon of choice since it killed almost immediately for little fuel lost and eliminated splash. In this game not only does it not kill quickly you get a screaming flaming xenomorph running at you they tend to explode and spray the entire area.

I highly recommend getting this game.
