Just get a whomping big C drive.

My new machine has a 1.5TB drive - plenty of room for that stuff.

I have 4TB of storage in my desktop. But my C drive is a small but fast 10,000 RPM Raptor Drive. Its common to have a small but fast SSD drive as your system drive for performance seekers. But SSD drives are expensive so they are usually small.

But the storage space is not even my main peeve, its just a bloody mess!

Agreed 100% Trev. I've got 2 150gb Velociraptors as my C: as well. I get most of my games thru Steam, so it gives no other option but to install on C, and put game data where ever it wants. The discs I buy sometimes let me install to D:, but that's rare. Filling up C: in windows 7/Server 2008 is a bit of an adventure.

I have the same Raptor but haven't had any problems. Although I really don't have much else on it.

Save Games and other Files should be located in the Game Install Directory. The whole Documents/Users setup in recent Windows(Win2k+) annoy me to no end.

I practice good computer hygiene - I play a game, finish it, and then delete it before I install another. I've kinda forced myself into that position though - I only have 80 GB and refuse to buy any more.

You can install steal to another drive, I have my steam installed on my D drive. You can Copy your entire steam folder to another drive and just run it, or you can copy then install steam again overtop.
