I don't know how much it's gonna be, but the X Box 360 or whatever (Stupid name, they should have called it Next Box.) is going for like 600$, so that leaves many competition grounds for Sony.
One thing though, the PS3 controller scares the crap outta me.

I doubt Microsoft will let a $600 price tag stand. It'll exclude people from getting on board at all. I'd expect both Sony and Microsoft to eat some of the cost to keep the systems entering the market at $400 CDN which traditionally has been about the price of every new system hitting the market. (Hell even the Genesis was $400 when it hit market a way back when...)
And you don't like the PS3 batarang controller? It makes sense though, they're using that awful font Sony used for the Spiderman movies all over the console. To compete, Microsoft will have to include a Green Lantern ring as a memory card.

well currently thats what the price is. and the batarang remote has changed slightly, but think about it games like battlefield and medal of honor use lots of keys. this will make it more intereatctive with one touch keys and such like on the computer, but in the palms of your hands.

Killzone 2 for the PS3 looks frickin' incredible. I actually might buy one of these overpriced consoles finally...

but if you think about it a ps3 or xbox 360 or something well its just a limited use computer.
thtats why istick with computers. and my laptop can play most of the games, so i dont waiste my money.
