Well, I'm pissed that PSN is down. Especially if you're playing something like Bionic Commando 2 that requires a connection to the network, you can't play.

The even dumber part of all of this is that me, as the consumer, isn't aware of the greater issues going on, who is responsible or why they did it. All I know is that PSN is down.

I did 'LAN parties' back in the day when the net sucked on 2400 baud modems but anymore it's cheap to rent server space and just play on the web.
