GAME 3 PENS vs PREDS
5:00PM PST on Sportsnet 416 through 419

Nick Bonino was seen hobbling around in a full walking boot and crutches yesterday. The Pens have stated his participation will be a game-time decision. If Nick is not able to dress, expect to see Hagelin back in the line-up.

GO PENS, GO!

With just over 3 minutes left in the 3rd and the Preds ahead 5 - 1, I'm conceding defeat. The Preds were the better team all night long and Murray simply wasn't strong enough in the net. PK's crystal ball came through for him and the Preds gave their adoring fans a fine show all night long. My guys sucked.

1 - 1 end of the 1rst

Peds struck first but Sid came back less than a minute later and got one past Pekka

Great pace to the game - chances at both ends of the ice. Both teams battling hard.

Pens start the 2nd with just over a minute of PP.

I really hope PK keeps that Listerine thing going because all it has done it to inspire Sid to answer in the best way possible - on the ice with a puck in the net.

The Preds got two more by Murray in the 2nd to lead 3 -1 going into the 3rd. Pittsburgh out-shot the Preds but couldn't get anything past Pekka.

Nice to know that the Predator sweater I bought 17 years ago is finally worth something.

I stumbled into a store selling knock-offs in Seoul way back in the day and it was one of the few jerseys that fit my giant ass...still can't complain with a hockey sweater for $10 US!

Well you can wear it happily tonight, bootlegga - the Preds take this one 4 - 1 darn it. I'll be so glad to see the game back in Pittsburgh.

I'm done being surprised by Sid, he was the star for the Penguins in Game 4 and last night he was a superstar. I mean what the heck would my Pens do without him. He was literally all over the ice last night, and all over PK too. I'm going to watch the Game 5 rewind as our power was out for the third time in as many weeks so I wasn't able to cheer the guys on nor see how well they played...once again chasing Pekka from the net. After what happened to Murray in Smashville, I can't say as I have any sympathy for Pekka. I did see a replay of the 'water bottle' incident and whether or not it should have drawn a penalty is really a moot point as by that time the Pens had the Preds down and out.

Now we off to Nashville again for Game 6. If I were Murray, I'd wear earplugs.

Much as I would give just about anything to see my Pens win it in the Bridgestone arena, I have a niggling feeling - mainly due to the performance of Pekka at home - that you could very well be right, Stutz.

Mind you they are coming off their best game of this series with both Malkin and Kessel finally finding the holes in Pekka. It is going to be nuts and my only wish is that bad calls or non-calls DO NOT determine the outcome. Let the chips fall where they may and let's play some hockey boys.
