Regina Regina:
Glad you could figure out one stat that helps your weak argument. ROTFL

Messier would have mopped the floor with him.

I was lucky enough to be seated next to him on an air Canada flight from Calgary to L.A.
Got all their pics and autographs, even Gretzky in the cockpit with my bud and now x wife.

He's just in the top 100 all time point leaders and you think he's #2 in the talent pool?

Without a doubt. Peter was as alround as they come and would have been the most valuable player on any team. If you check players active between 1994-2007 it's a whole other picture. Add +/- and games played and we'll see how bad he'd do.
He was plagued by injuries all his career.

Sorry.............I'm calling bullshit on that one.

Then you've obviously not seen him play his best game. Statistics isn't everything. I'm convinced he's among the top 3 all time.

Are you talking about the Peter Forsburg that refused to participate in shoot outs when he was with the Flyers ? That doesn’t sound like a top 3 player of all time to me.

You're saying he sucks at shoot outs? Did he say why he "refused"?

Here's a classic;

so your saying one of the top 3 players is one who is prone to injuryies and you cant even compare messier to forsberg by points per game because messier played almost 3x the more games then forsberg so i dont know how you sum that assumption up:s

I already did by saying; It was A LOT easier scoring in the first 10 years of his career. Not quite as easy from 94' onward.
Forsberg has a lot more to give and if he could get his foot fixed, the foot injury that has been hampering his career for the last couple of years, he can expect a lot of offers from teams in the NHL.
How can you just nullify his qualities as a player and his achievements becaus he's "prone to injuries"?

No one is saying he isn't a good player. We're just explaining to you why you're wrong about him being in the top 3. In fact in all time greats he's not even in the top 100. You can pick what ever time frame you like and lower the standards for greatness to try and prove a point but you're all alone in your thinking.

Not even in the top 100??? ..... You know what.. That's just ridiculous. Lower the standards for greatness? What do YOU consider greatness? That you score more goals then anyone else? What?

The league has been around for nearly 100 years and you're trying to make us believe one player who has only completed one full season of play, is in the top 3?? ROTFL

Look around.......you're the only one peddling that story.

What do you consider greatness, Regina? What does his injuries have to do with his greatness? Is he not known in the states as Peter the Great? Just a coincidence? For a european playing in the NHL there is no such thing. Come on now, Regina! Just becaus you don't want to agree with me the slightest you're saying things not even you can believe!

Imagine a car that was faster, handled better, and had more features then any other car on the market. But it broke down all the time. Would you say that car is the greatest car ever? Think about it.
For the owner or the spectators?
Either or. I dunno, maybe it's just a personal thing, but it just irks me when a player gets constantly injured. Makes me either think they're made delicate porcelain. Or they're malingering.
Maybe that's just me though :?
