Dar is indeed in need. It goes deeper than 'poor lady.' She tried to use the system in two countries to explain her behaviour. Fortunately she didn't point a finger at any particular male or he, most definitely 'a poor chap', would have found himself at the short end of the stick.

If I'm not mistaken I believe her husband is a witness for the prosecution. This woman is nuts. Don't be surprised to see a re-occurrence. Poor Lethbridge.

Couldn't resist. Just had to post it.

What's this world and it's politicians coming to? Wonder if he would find consolation knowing he's not alone out there, but so is the truth, right?

Russian presidential hopeful Rybkin says he was drugged and kidnapped

Russia's presidential hopeful Ivan Rybkin, who mysteriously disappeared for five days, said Friday that he was drugged, kidnapped and kept unconscious by captors who had lured him to Ukraine.

Rybkin, who said the incident involved a murky attempt involving a video tape to "compromise" him, also announced he would not withdraw from the March 14 Russian elections and told a London press conference he would conduct his campaign from Western Europe.

Rybkin said that he had gone to Ukraine on the understanding that he would be meeting Chechen rebel leader Aslan Maskhadov for peace negotiations.

On arrival in Kiev on February 6, Rybkin said he was driven to an apartment where he was told to wait for Maskhadov.

"I had some tea and some sandwiches and suddenly I felt very drowsy," Rybkin said through a Russian interpreter.

"I woke up in yet another totally unfamiliar apartment after an uncertain time," said Rybkin, who apologized to his audience for sounding emotional.

Rybkin said he had been unconscious for four days and regained consciousness on February 10, when he was told to telephone family or friends in Moscow to say he had taken a short break in Kiev.

He said his captors then "showed me a revolting video tape with my participation and they told me it was a plan to compromise me and force me to be cooperative."

"I don't know who kidnapped me, but I know for whose benefit it was done," Rybkin said, without elaborating.

He said he was later driven to the airport and boarded a plane back to Moscow.

He would not be drawn on the contents of the tape he mentioned, saying only: I'm not going to comment on the video tape, it was done to compromise me."

Rybkin had disappeared days after making explosive allegations about Russian President Vladimir Putin's supposedly shadowy business dealings -- a subject that has been taboo in the tightly controlled Russian media.

Despite his ordeal, Rybkin, who left Russia just two days before his official registration as a presidential candidate, said he had now taken a firm decision to continue his campaign.

"To be able to tell people the truth from now on, I will conduct my campaign from Western Europe," he said in a London hotel alongside his main financial sponsor Boris Berezovsky.

Rybkin said he was worried about the safety of his family in Russia, and added: "From now on, if my granddaughter would even scrape her knee, I would blame Mr Putin."

The Russian media, however, recently ridiculed Rybkin -- who stands no chance of defeating Putin in the March election and ranks last in the field of seven candidates.

Reports and several top lawmakers suggested that Rybkin was on a drinking binge when he vanished.

Berezovsky, who backs Rybkin's party Liberal Russia, had urged him to explain his disappearance.

Berezovsky, a billionaire tycoon who is a fierce opponent of Putin and wanted on fraud charges in Moscow, has been in exile in Britain since October 2001 where he has obtained political asylum.

And so it is - the defense rested it's case yesterday blaming the very scary and psychotic 'been der done dar'(s) husband for all that befell her. Yup, the last man standing. Poor girl, abducted, raped and pillaged whilst enjoying a bicycle trip through the bad lands of America. The investigating American police find no evidence whatsoever to substantiate her allegations so what does she do? Runs home to hubby, who envelops her in his arms and promises to stand by his gal only to be accused of stalking his own wife. Now we must wait until June 30th for a verdict.

Anyone want to bet she's not guilty? I'll take your money or guinness

Meanwhile south of the border down Boulder way another batty female is about to go down down down in that ring of fire. Kobe's accuser it seems, had sex with two or three men the day before boinking one of basketball's best but not brightest, followed by sex with two prosecution witnesses the day after boinking Kobe. So what's with the DA not disclosing that information to the defense?

All in all, sex with six men in a three day period and only the 'monkey-in-the-middle', the only one with assets or meaningful earning potential accused, must rate as some kind of pinnacle in the legal annals of the US in this day and age.

The speed with which the DA leapt upon the allegation made by this 'victim' should lead most normal people to suspect something specious may be afoot. If you saw him on television when originally interviewed - kind of says it all. He seems to be all about notoriety and promotion, promotion, promotion.

Today was to be the beginning of two days of pre trial. In light of the Judge's order yesterday that parts of the girl's sexual history would be admissible, the prosecution states they need more time to prepare their witness. What a crock! Train their witness is more like it. Train her to lie. Damned lies!

Victim indeed.

i don't think she was actually raped or drugged....she's just a pathological liar.......i'll bet some guinness.....lol.

blaming the husband seems like a last ditch attempt on the part of the defense. didn't the letters she wrote come straight from stuff she cheked from the library? oh, right! that is "inadmissable". what a bunch of bullshit

More from south of the 49th - a blow to the uberdykes and feminazis everywhere - could justice be prevailing, finally?

$1:
Bryant's accuser visibly shaken after testifying

It's so hard to remember lies

$1:
The defense says the woman’s sexual conduct around the time of the alleged assault should be admitted because it could show that her injuries were caused by another sexual partner and that she had a “scheme” to have sex with the NBA star, possibly to gain the attention of an ex-boyfriend.

The prosecution fought to limit defense questioning, but was rebuffed by the Colorado Supreme Court this month.

With a promise not to prosecute from south of the border down (nearly) Meyheeco way - the dangerous idiot continues to fight the fight and deny, deny, deny . . . .

$1:
Heatherington won't go, will resist ouster bid
By PATRICK BRETHOUR
From Tuesday's Globe and Mail

Calgary — The alderwoman is not for spurning.

Still proclaiming that she did not lie to police about a mysterious stalker, Dar Heatherington is refusing to resign from the city council of Lethbridge, Alta. and says she will resist the effort to oust her from office after being found guilty of public mischief last month.

Ms. Heatherington did not stick around to hear her colleagues vote to eject her from office. Rather than turn in her resignation, she turned in a letter — on city letterhead — that accused the council of political motives. “As I see it, these two motions are nothing more than posturing for the up coming (sic) municipal election,” the 41-year-old mother of three wrote. “However, be advised at this time, I have no intention of resigning my position as Alderman for the City of Lethbridge.”

Now that King Ralph has disposed of the provincial debt you can bet she'll want to start the fine folk of Alberta into the red.

She is like so pathetic, no?

dar she blows. . . . .

. . . .it's over.

Haven't heard the fat lady singing anything at all yet - she can still run even with a criminal recored (hello svend!) - will she be back? I think so - her fifteen minutes of fame have likely imbued her with a sense of startart stardumn - one can only hope she spares the town/city of Lethbridge more of the noteriety they would sooner see the back of. . . .

$1:
Heatherington out as Lethbridge alderwoman
Canadian Press

Lethbridge, Alta. — Dar Heatherington has been officially removed as a Lethbridge alderwoman, but there is no legal obstacle that would prevent her from running for the job again.

A news release Wednesday from the mayor's office in Lethbridge said Ms. Heatherington's resignation that she tendered earlier this week is effective immediately. It also said legal counsel has advised that she “is eligible to run for re-election in the next municipal election,” which will be held this fall.

Ms. Heatherington told city council on Monday that her resignation would take effect Sept. 10, the day she is to be sentenced for mischief for fabricating a stalker who allegedly sent lurid letters to her.

The city's clerk has determined that, under the Municipal Government Act, a “resignation is effective on the date it is received by the chief administrative officer, even if a later date is set out in the resignation.”

Ms. Heatherington, 41, had initially told council after her conviction that she would not step down. She changed her mind as council prepared a court application to force her from office.

Ms. Heatherington has said she wants to concentrate on clearing her name and therefore would not be able to serve effectively as an alderwoman.

“I do realize that this process will be an encompassing and totally absorbing one of my time and energy,” she said Monday.

Mayor Bob Tarleck has said there has been speculation that Ms. Heatherington might seek re-election, but she herself has not commented.

Ms. Heatherington was reported missing last year in Great Falls, Mont., while on city business. Her disappearance sparked public concern on both sides of the border and a major search by police.

She turned up in Las Vegas a few days later, saying she had been abducted and sexually assaulted. No one was charged, and she recanted her account to Great Falls police.

At a nationally televised news conference a few days later, she tearfully insisted she had been the victim of sexual assault and had been bullied into recanting.

She was in the news again when she told Lethbridge police that someone was stalking her and sending sexually explicit letters.

The Crown maintained she had written the letters to herself and she was convicted of mischief after a trial that lasted almost one month.

Ms. Heatherington has said she plans to appeal the conviction.

I can envision the appeal judges simply pealing with giggles, laughter and outright hilarity.

At the risk of sounding very shallow,
it would take drugs to be involved with this woman.
But I think I would be the one that would have to be taking them.
She really does look like she fell through the ugly tree and hit all the branches.
