Motorcycleboy Motorcycleboy:
I think the day will soon come that the Japanese military will be as indespensible a force against Chinese expansionism as the West German Army was against the Soviets.

I'm sure that fact's not lost on them. And that's probably why they're not afraid to bring out the Ole' Rising Sun again.

Good on them.

Cruel race.

Yeah, it quietly came back a few years ago along with their old nationalistic national anthem - "Our Emperor Reigns" I believe it is called.

I dont think so.A nice video but not scary to me.That song was in english, wish it was in Japanese.Would of made more sense to me.

Several japanese songs are in english, or have words in english, its considered stylistic flair, much like the random kanji you see in advertising in the states and canada. So its not out of place.

same here. For some reason Japanese and Chinese pop music throws in one line or a few words of english into most of their bubblegum. It's not always intelligible and is usually non sensical.

If you consider that wierd, I warn you, if you see anime, start running and don't stop. In fact you'd better carry a suicide pill in case you here or see the words "hentai"... No wait, thats good advice to anyone. *shudder*

Well it appears I didn't do a good enough job suppressing a memory, so its off to the rum bottle for me.

This is either really cool or really scary.

These guys have some kickass stuff.

Check out the Rising Sun flag - it's back.

The Rising sun flag was restored in 1954 as the naval ensign. What some people don't realize is that the current Japanese flag is the flag of the Japanese army during WW2.

The funny thing is that the Republicans have always lumped the Japanese in with us Canadians as 'under-spending' on defence because historically they have only spent about 1% of their GDP on it. The big thing is that because their economy is so large, it amounts to a lot of money. They've been in the top 5 in terms of total money spent for over two decades now...and are currently only surpassed by the US, Russia, France and perhaps China (depending on who's numbers you believe for their defence spending). $50 billion or so for a few decades means they have some serious stuff!

Pretty cool video though...reminds me of an overly long recruiting video
