Since a "pre-emptive" strike would come before ( in order to PRE-EMPT) a strike, I can say with given your question the chance is definitely zero.

If we knew our only chance to prevent the nuclear strike was with pre-emtive strikes, then yes. We would go down fighting for every inch.

What the hell would we preempt them with. Where would they strike come from, in what form, submarine launched, ICBM, mobile ICBM, strat bombers????

Preemptive strikes are an awesome tool, provided you have the intel, assets and balls to do it.

Although the US wouldn't use nuclear weapons on Canada and it would actually be more like going on holidays for the US military to defeat Canada do you think we could make any headway bringing them down ...we have lotsa sticks and stones . Canada really has no capabilities at the present to launch one if so the Americans would wonder what we are doing and might just attack our aircrafts or shoot whatever missiles we would launch. Since we are both part of NATO and we are in NORAD I'm not sure how would you pull it off. I guess you would have to tell the Canadians at NORAD to keep quiet but soon as they see all these blips coming down the Americans are going to be wondering what is going on. I suppose if Canada developed a larger armed forces that maybe took up a quarter of our GDP as well as nuclear weapons we might be able to do some damage but still what would be the point of it? It would mostly just destroy each other’s countries and no one would gain anything from doing it. Unless that’s what you want mutual self-destruction.

We'd be slaughtered, the Vermont National Guard has more military power than we do. Flrankly the whole things kinda dumb. Mr C we haven't defeated the US in any war.

It's their helos that pick up OUR wounded troops in A-Stan and take them to their army hospitals, where US military docs look after OUR wounded troops. US military planes evacuate our wounded out on hospital planes to their state of the art hospiltal in Germany.

It is the US Air Force that defends Canada, they paid for athe coastal radars that keep watch over Canada, they provide jets to defend our airspace, they guarentee our existance, and we crap on them. It's quite sad.....
