Greetings my neighbours of the north, I am someone who is very interested in Canadian stuff (although I could learn more) who is actually an American.

Some people are a little weirded out and/or creeped out and/or annoyed by my Canada enthusiasm. And I must say, it is a little odd sometimes, I even get excited over simply watching commercials from Canada. I bet you don't know someone else who sits on the edge of their seat for a Home Hardware commercial, but you do know.

I am such a "new" Canada enthusiast and have yet to do many things, even... including not actually seeing Canada yet but wishing...

I really hope I can visit Canada soon.

Mind you all, I get a bit shy when explaining my enthusiasm in a sane way to real Canadians.

We're a pretty low self-esteem type country, we're just happy for attention. And in Ray's case, female attention especially.
