Was not overly sure where to put this. This really did happen and was a big hoopla made over it last week. To me it's semi funny but at the same time I can see where people would take offense. Thus this being put into the General Jibber Jabber section. If it needs to be moved please do so.

Yeah it was funny and I can tell it was all tongue-in-cheek, but its way inappropriate for the workplace - especially public sector workplace that's funded by taxes from those same "boring gays" and "comfy fatties".

More by the "Boring Gays" then the "Comfy Fatties". Property taxes are paid far more in their area then mine. A lot move businesses and Apartments in the Comfy Fatties area.

I do agree that this should not have been part of the planning sessions maps. Glad to see the staffer was suspended and probably will lose their job and if not most likely be removed from their current position.

I personally find this kind of thing to be funny.

Like some years back at a local planning meet up they had old maps of the city out to show the progress of 'urban sprawl' and one of them had Nigger Slough listed on it. There was a stink and then it died away as the map was an official US government map dated from 1947.

The slough has since been filled in and is now part of the race track at Cal Expo.
