What have we ever done to you  seriously though I see a lot of none too flattering comments. Aside from those who basically don't like the way Toronto votes, what's the deal Canada :?:

I've never been to Toronoto, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. Of course, these things were said by Americans.

I like Toronto. Too many times all we hear is negative things about it but having been there more than once I would have to say it is a very nice city.

I have heard great things about TO. So much that I plan to visit very soon. I would like to know from fellow Torontonians the best places to visit. Also the best neighbourhoods and so forth.

Does anyone have any advice on some good yet affordable accomodations?

Even though I live in Toronto, I think I might know a reason: The pervasive attitude within the national media that Toronto must be catered to. My uncle, who lives just outside Calgary, always refers to TSN as the Toronto Sports Network... The CBC always has the Leafs game on Saturday night (when the NHL is playing that is), but other Canadian cities often don't have a chance to see their teams. All the national banks have their headquarters in Toronto, as do most of Canada's biggest businesses... Ontario has over a third of Canada's population, with a large chunk of that residing within the GTA.

Simply put, the national media caters to Toronto because that's where the most money is (ratings / advertising $'s...). The rest of Canada sometimes resents this...

You keep voting in a bunch of thieves and liars and for only one reason and thats more goodies from the govt. for you,so tell the rest of the west why we should like people that only are in it for themselves and couldn't give a flying fu*k about the rest of Canada?

Your province supports one of the most corrupt bunch of people that ever ruled Canada, what's in it for me should be your mantra.
Why you support it is beyond most Canadians, and now Jack Layton has crawled in bed with the very people he was fighting against and he has support.

But you know who butters your bread and with all the corrupt politicians out there now I can see why you want to capitalize on it before the shite hits the fan.

I'm talking about the province as a whole and not just you,I do tend to lump all folks in the same category when there dealing with thieves and liars and anyone that has their hand in my pocket trying to skim some of my hard earned dollars for nothing.

With all the scandals going on right now,and the fact that Ontario still supports the folks involved in the scandals should answer your question fairly well.

The fact that you dont have the morals to do whats right for the rest of Canada says volumes about you folks.

And you call yourselves Canadians. [kissass]

The rest of Canada still pretty much votes liberal because they reflect the fact that Canada is a liberal country with liberal peolple.

And your solution comrade? The upright & honest conservatives? Any one sporting a russian flag has lost all priveleges to comment on the voting preferences of my country. Democracy doing well in russia? The liberals have always done whats best for Canada and my conscience doesn't bother me for voting them. It must piss you off that even through all this Harper & the conservatives are getting hammered in the polls!

Thieves & liars eh? Hand in your pocket eh? Compare what Ontario gives or just compare Toronto and still they vote for the people who do it. You have no faith in canada, no loyalty to canada and have no right to call yourself a canadian. Its not so nice when other people do it eh?
