What about Cocktails?

Beer man here. Kokanee, Keith's, Canadian. All good.

For cocktails, dart_frog was right, Caesars rule. Got a little pub here in Freddy that makes the world's best Breakfast Caesar. Perfect hangover cure.

For those who may not know how to make one (largely our US friends, I think):

Vodka
Clamato juice (spicy clamato is the best, imho)
Dash of Tobasco
Dash of Worchestershire
Dash of Lemon

If you want to get fancy, rim the glass with celery-salt (or RimIt) and garnish with a stick of celery. YUM!

Dalhousie University, at the moment I'm leaning towards econ for a major

I'm there now, down at the Sexton (engineering) campus.... working on research for the summer.

Don't know a whole lot about the main campus (did my first two years at another university), but Halifax is a good city for going to school.

Cool, any advice for an incoming freshman?

None.... like I said, I did my first two years at another university.... I've even only been on the 'real' Dal campus three or four times, other than the Arts Centre....

As far as living in Halifax: It's a pretty safe city, so it's good for students. Dal's really big, compared to most Nova Scotia universities (which is why I did my first two years elsewhere), so you should try and find something extracurricular to keep you occupied.

Most importantly, though you may be feel tremendous urges, stay away from places known as "The Dome" or "The Palace"....

That justifies a different name?

Okay, you can drink Ceasars, and I'll make my Bloody Marys with clamato and we'll both be happy.
