I just read that the increase is a reaction to the refinery shut downs in Texas and shouldnt last....will go down in the next few days.

Not a good time to be on empty though...I just left work and topped up my tank.

He saw the price downtown Montreal (somewhere that the streets AREN'T closed for car-free day)

I went to a local station and topped up at $1.09 and the owner of the station told me they are standing by for a phone call to increase to $2.25 by the end of the day.

Actually, not to brag too much, but I just paid $2.839 US for a GALLON of 93 octane this morning. Regular 87 octane was at $2.63 a gallon. I had to make sure that I topped off the BOX before all hell breaks loose in the next day or two!?
