What's the worst hotel experience you've ever had?
Right now, I'm up here in 'Dogpatch, Ab' Snowed in and can't head home. Normally, when I'm on the road, I'm not too fussy.Only interested in a shower & bed. Not like I spend a lot of time in the room. Here tho it wouldn't matter cuz I got a room at the 'Take it or leave it Inn & suites'.This place is disgusting. I gotta wear my boots to bed! No way am I putting my bare feet on this carpet. The 'chambermaid just came by and I told her I only required clean towels & an ashtray would be nice too. No way she noticed that I've just been using the floor!
After she left I noticed that she took my used towels but forgot to replace them. She did however leave her cleaning rags behind. So, I took them over to the office and asked the desk clerk if I could have some towels. Pointing to the pile of rags he said'Those ARE your towels. What do you want?'
I think after it gets dark tonite I'm gonna go out and roll around in the snow and run around to dry off!
I've had a few other 'hotel experiences' some even funny. BUT THIS AIN'T ONE OF THEM!

I lived at the Norseman Inn in Red Lake for 4 months a couple years ago. It wasn't that nice but by the end I liked it, it was my home for a long time and even though the wallpaper was falling off the wall, the pipes would leak and my tv remote didn't work, it was alright. the worst part was the diamond drillers, they would park their diesel trucks right outside my window and wake me up at 4am everyday

I hate hotels , I'm tired of all of them . I started participating on CKA from Hotels , and used it for my entertainment and became addicted . I found some the best places were those cheap run down motels in the middle of nowhere , at least thats where I got the best sleep .

Maybe you got something there! And I'll bet she ordered this snow & rain too. Women are sooo sneaky that way. That's why I gotta be 'smart' when I'm plannin somethin!
Maybe she's still mad about findin out that we spent our honeymoon in a 'house of ill repute'! REALLY. True story! We got 'set up'!

We haven't slept in too many motels (we used to go camp in France in summer), but last October, in Canada, comming from Saskatoon, we were kind of tired at 9.30 pm, so we stopped in Pincher Creek, Alberta. It was a very cheap motel, and we got the complete basement suite. Great!
The only problem was, the owners lived right upstairs, and their (asian) cooking odors came into our suite and the toiletdrain ran through our room... Trucks started their engines at 4.30 in the morning... We didn't feel very good, slept really bad, but now, when it's long over and done, it was a great experience

My kids love hotels and can't wait until I'm back to work so they can come stay with Dad . I have different news for them .
They like Tenting too and getting all black with dirt , the problem is they don't lick themselves clean like most other forest animals do ...I much prefer camping than Hotels and besides 99% of the hotels hate my kids
...actually I havn't come across very many Hotels who like any kids .

I haven't had any problems in Canada, with my kids in motels. We have not been in Hotels though But we didn't stay very long, maybe that is the point I can't wait to go out camping too!

Pincher Creek? Yikes, you should have drove another 20 minutes west and stayed in the Crowsnest Pass.
At least you dont have natives at every bank machine and the 7/11 demanding handouts like in P.C.
