Please tell me if this stamp is a 1 cent stamp, or whether it's a 1 dollar stamp.

Most stamps don't have a cent sign, but they will show a dollar sign.

I think its mostly because of the defect where you can't see the amount the stamp is worth.

Your_dead,
but that ebayer clarified that the stamps are a batch of 1-cent stamps. So he isn't trying on having people think they are $1 stamps.
8-)

I know, but any defect in something like that makes it worth more, since defects are rare.

your_dead,
I don't think it's a defect to have no cent symbol. From someone else, I learned that only stamps worth a dollar or more have a figure (the dollar symbol).

The defect is that the 1 is missing because of the perforations.

I doubt it, because then this similar stamp would be a $6.00 one.
