They want to be liked. No, they're absolutely desperate to be liked. They'll try to be all things to everyone just to get a compliment. It's the Canadian mental disorder, now in government form. Can't take a stand because someone might get upset and not like us. It'll be an interesting four years at a minimum, for better or worse, especially if JT isn't going to crack the whip and get some kind of plan going.

Well, who knows. With the deep divisions on say the Energy East project, Trudeau just coming down hard for either side might just get the other to dig in it's heels. He's already managed to get Coderre to back off a bit. Maybe he can play the mediator on a lot of files. Maybe.

With the natives tho, forinstance, his sunny ways will only go so far. Once they realize he can't just shovel the money at them (let's hope) they may turn on him as much as they ever did with Harper.

But let's see. It's not as if Harper had a lot of success on a lot of these files, maybe Trudeau's approach will prove more successful. Maybe.
