2Cdo 2Cdo: raydan raydan: 3 years in an all boys Catholic elementary school where pretty much all the teachers were Irish nuns... I think I deserve way more compensation than day school survivors. 3 years? I did 6 years so I deserve more than you. Were you that slow? $1: Did I mention that every nun I have ever had to deal with was a man/boy hating sadist. Isn't that the sole reason why they became nuns in the first place?

raydan raydan: I remember the chalk flying, even a blackboard eraser once... got the strap once too... but never got hit by a book. Got whupped up the side of the head by a substitute teacher, he went totally apeshit, left the room and never returned.

The worst I saw was when a "tough guy" grade 11 classmate got pretty belligerent with the teacher during class. This teacher was a big guy and I mean big as in heavy weight boxer big, but always calm during classes. He went face to face with the student, stuck out his chin and told the student to either punch him or sit down and shut up. He sat down and shut up.
