I didn't think I could see a game that topped Algeria in the last Men's World Cup or against Brazil in the last Women's World Cup, but this did indeed top.

That referee should be shot. That was the main contributor to Canada losing, the smaller factor being Canada blowing the lead repeatedly after gaining it. Christine Sinclair did everything she could do in that game. The others should have stepped up as well, but they didn't.

I'm getting really disappointed at the 'Canada Falls Short' headline this Olympics. Why can't we have shiny gold medals aplenty?

I hate ragging on the officials in any sport, but the "delay of game" call in the 76th minute was a crock of shit considering the importance of this game, Canada had the lead 3-2 but was scored on directly because of the poor call and resulting penalty kick. Full marks to both teams for a great, well played game. Canada will now play France for the Bronze.....

A small consolation. Bronze is that "Hey you weren't good enough to compete for gold or silver so here's your consolation prize" kind of medal. I'm sick of our athletes always ending up going for bronze.

Whatever happened to the 'Own the Podium' thing that helped bring Gold in the winter Olympics?

We need some kind of spark.
