I have seen it come from other posters, but not as much lately. It was a baseless statement. However, members like Calgary, Donny, OPP, Avro, Abbas, Ruserious, AKZ (I think that's his name) have used it and that's just off the top of my head.

That's what's been happening here. In fact, I can pretty much pinpoint where it started - Gerry said that ogi should "get over it". Because people have a previous dislike for him, they jumped on the comment, assuming he was saying Yogi should forget about what happened to him. Even after revealing that he had been abused himself as a child, Tricks continued to tell him he had no idea what was inside Yogi's head.

Lily I don't give a fuck what someone has gone through. Saying get over something like that is uncalled for. Do you think soldiers said "Get over it" when another soldier had PTSD? I doubt it. But I guess those "Innocent Killers" as gerry puts it are more compassionate then he is.

Not even the most obtuse person can read that as being helpful advice from another survivor of childhood abuse.......or maybe they can , as evidenced by some of these posts.

The situation that each experienced may be similar, but they are not the same. None of us react identically to the same stimuli, so Gerry's experience and the way he dealt with it can't be imposed on the way Yogi has chosen to deal with his abuse. There are also degrees of abuse to be taken into consideration. While an inappropriate touch is troubling, rape and sexual interference is like comparing a firecracker to a hydrogen bomb.

Lily come down off of Mount Sanctimoanious, that burning bush is just a burning bush. WDH III , count to 10........make it a thousand, drink a few beers, take a two week vacation, complete a degree and then address Lily's posts.
