It's funny that here in Taiwan, because there is compulsory service(2 yrs), you have enlisted men with masters and ph.ds. Only career members with degrees are made officers

ROTFL You have no idea what you're talking about. If, and it's a big if, they actually subsidise your education for criminology, you will be an MP officer. You will not be a "grunt", in fact I'd like to hear your description of what a 'grunt" is. Maybe you can tell me what trade I am. I'll give you a hint, it's part of my on-line name and my avatar!

aaahhh another example of a person not READING, no criminology degree, and it is a choice to go officer or nco. .....sim arty go off too close to your head there trooper?

Actually he's right, I'm the crim degree, he's the police foundations. :lol:

If they don't subsidise 2cdo, can I be whatever?

Depends on the degree for officers, unless your willing to get another for your chosen field. For NCO's it's based on the aptitude tests given when you join and your medical profile.
