I am allways amazed in a country as big as Canada how you can meet someone you know no matter where you travel.
So if you have a tale to tell do it here.

April this year I was in Churchill waiting for my connecting flight to Arviat.Me and the 3 other guys from my crew were outside haveing a smoke. This elderly lady was also outside haveing a smoke, she stared at my bud who's in his 50's,asked his name, then said she remembered him from grade school in Sask. That had to be 40 years ago,the guy had lived in Yellowknife most of his life.
Small world.

I got more, just have to coax them from my memory.
I would like to see your stories being a curious dude.

A few months ago I was in Rankin inlet waiting for my connection when who walks in but this gal I went to school with and share the same birthday with, hadnt seen her in years, she was cook at a remote camp a few hundred miles from my camp, told me about this family in Baker that had kind of adopted her after she gave them all their stores when camp shut down. After a few names were dropped I realised she was talking about our cooks helper who I've known since last year.

Both of us live 5000 miles away, meet in the arctic, and have mutual friends there.
Small world.

Flew out here from TO, got into Rez and met my neighbour. She looked familiar, so asked her if she had just flown in. She had came here on the same flight, was from Waterloo.

Weekend before Halloween some drunk dude came to my room and started chatting with me. Girl he was with turned to me and said "you are totally the guy I sat next to on the flight here."

I once ran into a friend walking down Lundy's Lane, and ran into a classmate of mines (back in like... grade 6) while swimming at the Disney Music Resort place.

I'm not sure if all of these count... but DCI (Drum Corps International) isn't quite as popular as the NHL...
In the airport in Phoenix, AZ waiting for my flight a couple people that had been at the drum corps sow the previous night came and started talking to us (I had various corps memorabilia on). Right after Finals at the Rose Bowl, went down to San Fran. Was on Alcatraz in one of the little room when I turned around and there was a kid who marched in the Glassmen (had his corps jacket on) I tapped him on the shoulder and said hi, then pointed to my sweatshirt (I had my Glassmen one on!) had a small chat, then went on our way. In the airport in Vegas, was in one of those gadget shops when the clerk walks up and asks me if I marched. He had marched in the Santa Clara Vanguard (I was wearing my Vanguard hat) and we chatted about how kick ass the shows were this year.

That's the best I've got...

Well I'm halfway around the planet and I ran into one of my sister's friends from university not that long ago. My wife has a new co worker that grew up 20 minutes from her home town as well, so yes, it is a small world.

I once ran into a friend walking down Lundy's Lane,

Lundy's Lane, WHERE? !!

I used to live just a few streets over from 'Lundy's Lane' at C.F.B. Shilo Manitoba.
