That's a kayak, just so you know.... (I don't know how to say it in dutch, so don't think I'm complaining  )

The last time I went, I decided to take my cousin's river kayak into the ocean... I see why the two designs are so different!!

It was fun to paddle way out, turn around, paddle as fast as I could to catch a wave, and ride the wave like I was surfing! It was fun until I got turned sideways in the wave on my way in.... I flipped, and got trapped between my kayak and the beach. I couldn't flip my self over, because the waves kept pushing me over. Eventually though, after swallowing a lot of water, I managed to flip myself over. So ended my kayaking for that day!

I've been interested in learning that/kayaking for awhile, never taken the time to research though. Maybe we could chat abit and I could try and learn something.

hehe surfing is cool indeed..
here in netherlands we call it a kano.
o and going out on sea with a flatwaterkano/kayak isn't smart indeed... i think you had a lot of water going over you while on sea....

tomorrow i'm gonna practice my "eskimotering"skills since they want good weather then.
