Aw. Sad to lose a genuine master of the batshit-insane promo. Go gently into that night, good sir. :(

To be honest, he lived a far longer life than so many pro 'rasslers.

RIP Dusty.

He was from before the steroids-and-painkillers era, although his own contemporaries were more of the cocaine-and-booze generation. :|

One of the great entrance themes from the 80's era.

Dusty Rhodes, Copenhagen-dippin' son of a plummah, baybay! Standing up for the 99% about a million years before it was cool!

True enough. I haven't been able to stomach professional wrestling since the late 80's. Too much crap and very few good "characters".

Actually a lot of it is still quite good. They had to dial back quite a bit on some of the insanity due to the wave of concussion injuries and the steroid/painkiller suicide epidemic near killed them. But it's still fun and, much like the other 'real' sports, the performers are now at an unprecedented level of athleticism.

Regards, he wasn't an athlete in the slightest but he was still memorable beyond belied. RIP, sweet Foghorn Leghorn lisping prince. I'll never forget the '80's hair that looked like a dye-jobbed Darth Vader helmet made out of ramen noodles. :( 8)
