A heron that resides in the little bay just outside of my house. Never see any others in this immediate area so it seems to be his territory. Not a great picture but he was up in a nearby tree when I took this one. Better photo ops always occur when I don't have my camera!

So, I remembered that I forgot to upload the vid.

I guess these would be Downy Woodpeckers? All my birds flew south when the fall came. All that stayed are Blue Jays, Magpies and Ravens. And a couple hearty Woodpeckers.

The little guy went all around the neighbourhood, looking under everyone's eaves and awnings looking for tasty spiders and things.

The little guy does not like to stand on things, but I've seen him grasp wood rings with the edges of his nails looking for juicy bugs.

No new pics, but I've still got a hummer coming by every day, may not be the same one as last year, but this one shows up at first light and keeps coming back all day until near sunset.....must be a hardy lil bugger!
