Hey guys me and a buddy are planning a trip to germany sometime soon and we are going to visit a buddy that was down in candada for six years on exchange.. but hes gone back, we get to live there, so no hotel expenses.. and cheap for food expeneses.

We sent out for passport

What can you guys all suggest to make this trip easier?

Euro Rail pass when you get there. Get your friend to get you right up to speed on the train system. A good guide book. Tailor it to your area of interest. Your friend will be a definate asset to get you around, but the guide book will give you a little background on the area or place that your friend may not know about. Get a German speaker to teach you some rudimentary useful phrases and learn them. Get a little Euro adapter & transformer from Radio Shack or some such so you can run your stuff.

Lastly, relax, have fun, get wasted on good beer and see as much as you can.

Haha, They teach you that in the Military because you kind of explained everything he needed to know or this is what the information both in the airports usually tell you.

how long are you gonna stay there? do you plan to travel around the country or around some particular region?
