Mr. Simpson, Although well written, your argument doesn't concentrate on comparisons with the Queen. The Queen has ten times more experience, education and training then Mr. Bush (the puppet). Your argument doesn't relinquish the fact that his public demeanour is atrocious. Educated or not, he's pro...

Scrappy Scrappy:
Good grief did they let Great Britain out of the Tower of london again?

The Queen is a figure head, nothing more or less. Frankly Canada at some point will need to carve out her own identity that doesn't include the Queen.

That's an opinion, yet has no arguement supporting it.

I like GB's post. It provides a contrast that hasn't brought any rational arguement against it... mind you, it hasn't brought any rational arguement supporting it. (Crappy letter really, GB. Come out and say something to support your position.) I support a monarchy in Canada, since I don't believe t...

I wonder how the left wing Netherland type will get along in right wing hick towns. No matter how right wing you are in the Netherlands you'll still be too far to the left. The right wing in north america is probably farther right than you imagined. Hacker is the best example of the wannabe American...

As a mechanism for cooperation, the SPP has no formal institutions attached to it, but its initiatives are grounded in the common interests of all North Americans while preserving the values of the three partners. What is that supposed to mean? Who's values are they preserving when the public is le...

There's no such thing as free health care, everyone pays for it. The alternative is to privatize... any Brits around here that can tell how wonderfully well their privatized social systems are now running? I was just recently talking to a Brit that claims that said their privatized water works are n...
