You will also be suprised at how fast you will climatise. You will be wearing your jeans in no time while in KAF. Best food is served at the Asian mess but its very busy. The British mess is ok and the Canadian mess is pretty good but a fair distance from the center of KAF. Who will be looking after...

Well, looks like it's confirmed. Off to Afghanistan next month. I'm sure I can still post to CKA from there. Hey Zip, there is an internet package you can get to support your laptop, I think it is about 90 per month. There are also the welfare trailers with internet and phone. You could post to CKA...

Tell me where you were and when, maybe we ran into each other in say Haiti, Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Macedonia....where? Documentaries are aplenty, I wouldn't go anywhere ...

Canada's Military is not simply there to defend Canada. It has the duty to support our foreign policy as well. Simply sitting back and watching as others around you suffer is very UN-Canadian don't you think. Sometimes the "defense of Canada" has to be conducted abroad. Please research th...

That doesnt really explain why we sit out of every other revolutionary/civil war. Touche'.. As I am not involved in the politcal aspects of war/conflict I can only suggest that military involvement in any given conflict abroad is based on a number of factors. I suspect that Canada must take into acc...

I'm generally of the opinion that unless said dictator directly threatened Canada in some way we should be staying out of their business. I have never understood how the armed forces is standing on guard for Canada when off in some other land with which we have no direct contact. Don't we pay the a...
