It is almost two months since I was advised by OSFI that I could unlock my Locked-in RRSPs since I am a non-resident. One of the Major Banking Institutions, that has my account, is insisting I am covered by Ontario Rules and not Federal. I advised them that all railways are under Federal, as are ban...

I checked with the Federal Government and yes, they recently changed the rules and now allow non-residents to withdraw/collapse their Locked-in Plans. Find their email/phone # here: http://www.osfi-bsif.gc.ca/osfi/ind...px?ArticleID=18 I tried to verify about Ontario's but it doesn't show on their w...

Ok, I still think everyone should be treated equally and be allowed to unlock their funds. I have just been notified from OFSI that as a person under Federal Jurisdiction, that is a non resident of Canada, I am allowed to unlock everything. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Now, I believe you should...

Unfortunatly, because they do not have control of their main resource, oil and have been rendered extreamly poor, they do not have the military might that others have, mainly the US and Isreal. Therefor they are unable to defend themselves in traditional ways, with anti aircraft missles, tanks and w...

This is what has to happen: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,6-2312886,00.html Why Muslims must rise up now and join the battle against extremism If there is a problem in my 'family' I have to work at fixing it. If the problem is in YOUR 'family' then YOU have to do something about fixing it....

We also have to consider the conditioning we've all been through. Everyone, whether you want to or not, believes somewhere in side of them that all Muslim folks are suicide bombers. It's truly sad that the media and our Governments have done that to us and to truly understand the world you must rele...

Maybe Muslim countries train their snipers to go out and shoot women and children. Not sure I know of any country or religion that does that, or any country or religion, other than muslims, that train/encourage their kids to be suicide bombers. I know I would never do that. Only cowards do that. Whe...

What I have a hard time understanding is Muslim parents encourage and train their kids to go out a blow themselves up along with women and children in the name of Allah. Then they cry in outrage when their women and children are killed. Why aren't they celebrating? Why hasn't Madass Hussein committe...

To add to the confusion some Provinces allow those with Locked-in RRSPs or LIRAs to start withdrawing using a LRIF or a LIF, Federal only allows you to use a LIF, meaning you MUST take out an annuity at 80 and lock in your return at whatever the current rate is then. Some people that are affected wi...

MPPs in Ontario are crying they have no pension. Excuse me! Ontario Conservatives gave themselves nice lump sums as a locked-in RRSP, then promptly allowed themselves (ONLY) to unlock them. Now the Federal Conservatives have voted themselves fat increases. Will they do the Honorable thing and Unlock...

Yesterday newspapers/TV only published what THEY thought was news Yesterday Politicians thought they could do what they want and nobody would know. Yesterday there was no internet. Today there is and we can publish what WE think is important. And the World will know. It is time to correct this nonse...

Erhm, you're incorrect in one sense.... I withdrew my money from my locked in account and I live in Ontario. You are able to should you meet one of five conditions. And to quote you from another site... Not most, but some do allow that. Ontario does, however if you lose your job and can't make the ...

Boy, am I glad you asked that question. What am I advocating? I am advocating equal rights for All Canadians. I am really happy for you that you could withdraw your money in Ontario. Why can't I do the same? It is because I am NOT covered by Ontario Rules and Regulations. If you join the Armed Force...
