snookums snookums: You're pointing the obvious Bodah I'm from Quebec, went through the Quebec's education system and still can't believe the crap I 'learned' during those years. I can't agree more with Desmond's assessment What part of the curriculum was 'crap', if I may ask?  |

The most contentious issue in that province's electoral reform proposal was the creation of super-sized ridings.. |

Instead of checking an 'X' to vote for your candidate of choice on the given ballot, you rank all candidates in descending order of preference.
Yeah, 308 was the number of ridings in the last election. |

Thats a nice can of worms you are trying to open there. Oh, I don't have anything too drastic in mind. Simply institute runoff voting for all 308 ridings and problem solved. :wink: The Bloc only has about 38.1% of the popular vote in Quebec, yet they manage to obtain a plurality in nearly two third... |

EyeBrock EyeBrock: I agree, but I can't see a majority on either side. The problem is that we have a province that cares not about the rest of Canada and has enough seats to ensure that we have to pander to them. Electoral reform is the only solution.. |

It is justified.. the stimulus package stinks and they really haven't released funding for much. Have you heard of one job being created by it? no! and there are a long list of reasons to dump this government.. I haven't read the 234-page report, so I'll let Ignatieff go over it and decide accordin... |
